Bloody-Fisted Hope (referencing Jo Saxton's post)
In this midst of a #pandemic and worldwide shutdown, collective grief, and the rest of it….
breakdown.
Breakdown from tiredness.
Breakdown from homeschooling gone wild.
Breakdown from families unemployed.
Breakdown from racist terrorism.
Breakdown from social media battles.
Breakdown from isolation.
Breakdown. Breakdown. Breakdown.
And it doesn’t end there. The isolation and coronavirus highlights again the ugly, festering underbelly of America’s tie to money, power, and whiteness (read Jemar Tisby).
So, you are asking what to do? Your eager to find hope? You’re rushing to grief?
Then, do the hard and bloody work of fighting for hope.
Repent. Repent. Repent.
Then, repent again.
Repentance that leads to action, brings hope.
I am with you, repenting.
